About Nadi Pariksha
(Pulse Diagnosis)

Nadi Pariksha, also known as Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis, is an ancient, non-invasive diagnostic method used in Ayurveda to assess an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional health. The word “Nadi” means pulse and “Pariksha” means examination.

By feeling the pulse at the radial artery (wrist), an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner can detect subtle vibrations that reflect the balance or imbalance of the three fundamental bio-energies—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These doshas govern various physiological and psychological functions in the body:

  • Vata: Governs movement, breathing, circulation, and nervous system functions.
  • Pitta: Regulates metabolism, digestion, body temperature, and transformation.
  • Kapha: Maintains stability, structure, lubrication, and immunity.

What Nadi Pariksha Reveals

  • Early signs of imbalances before diseases manifest physically.
  • Root causes of chronic conditions like stress, diabetes, skin disorders, digestive issues, and hormonal imbalances.
  • Mental and emotional states, including anxiety, depression, or emotional blockages.
  • Predisposition to certain health issues based on prakriti (constitution) and vikriti (current imbalance).

Benefits of Nadi Pariksha

  • Helps in designing personalized treatment, including Panchakarma therapies, diet, herbal medicines, and lifestyle changes.
